Nach geschichtsträchtigen 170 Saisons wird es nun Zeit für umfangreiche Sanierungs- und Umbauarbeiten. Aus diesem Grund bleiben in der Saison 2024 und 2025 die Türen des Grand Hotel Glacier du Rhône geschlossen. Eine voraussichtliche Wiedereröffnung ist auf den Sommer 2026 geplant.
Der Infopoint wurde saniert und neugestaltet. Der InfoPoint ist von Juli 2024 bis September 2024 jeweils Donnerstag bis Sonntag zu besichtigen. Weitere Informationen unter www.infopoint-gletsch.ch.
Die historischen Kleinkraftwerke, sowie das Museum im Blauen Haus bleiben auf Grund von Sanierungsarbeiten 2024 geschlossen.
Vom 29. Juni bis 29. September 2024 findet die Ausstellung «Schau, wie der Gletscher schwindet» in Gletsch statt. Die Gletscher schwinden und damit die Natur- und Kulturlandschaft der Schweiz. Die Ausstellung «Schau, wie der Gletscher schwindet» nimmt im Sommer 2024 die Besorgnis über diese Veränderung auf. Sie setzt auf die Kraft der Kunst, den Wandel zu benennen und sichtbar zu machen. Von Genf bis Graubünden und vom Wallis bis Zürich unterstützen zahlreiche Museen und Kulturinstitutionen das Ereignis. Während das Eis schmilzt und sich Horizonte auflösen, errichten Künstlerinnen und Künstler ihre Werke, auch bis ins Herz der Gletscher. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter www.artforglaciers.ch.
Bis zur Wiedereröffnung des Hotels und Restaurants sorgt auch in diesem Sommer ein Food-Truck im Hotelgarten für das leibliche Wohl unserer Gäste. swissmountaingastro@gmx.ch

After 170 seasons steeped in history, it is now time for extensive renovation and conversion work. For this reason, the doors of the Grand Hotel Glacier du Rhône will remain closed during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. An expected reopening is planned for summer 2026.
The Info Point was renovated and redesigned. The Info Point can be visited from July to September every Thursday to Sunday. Further information at www.infopoint-gletsch.ch.
The historic small power plants and the museum in the Blue House will remain closed in 2024 due to renovation work.
The exhibition “Look how the glacier is disappearing” will take place in Gletsch from June 29th to September 29th. The glaciers are melting. Switzerland’s physical and cultural landscape is disappearing. Through-out the summer of 2024, a new exhibition will draw on the eye-opening power of art to address the concerns raised by this change. With the participation of museums and other cultural spaces, the event will unfold indoors and outdoors across Switzerland, from Geneva to Graubünden, and from Valais to Zurich. As the horizon recedes, the artists will unveil their works – in some cases within the glaciers themselves.Further information can be found at www.artforglaciers.ch.

Chers clients du Grand Hôtel Glacier du Rhône, Après 170 saisons chargées d'histoire, l'heure est désormais aux vastes travaux de rénovation et d'aménagement. C'est pourquoi les portes du Grand Hôtel Glacier du Rhône resteront fermées durant les saisons 2024 et 2025. Une réouverture attendue est prévue pour l’été 2026.
L’Info Point a été rénové et repensé. L'Info Point peut être visité de juillet à septembre du jeudi au dimanche. Plus d’informations sur www.infopoint-gletsch.ch.
Les petites centrales électriques historiques et le musée de la Maison Bleue resteront fermés en 2024 en raison de travaux de rénovation.
L'exposition « Regardez comment le glacier disparaît » aura lieu à Gletsch du 29 juin au 29 septembre. Les glaciers fondent. Le paysage naturel et culturel suisse s'en va. Tout l'été 2024, une exposition répond aux interrogations que ce changement suscite. Elle mise sur l'art et sa puissance de révélation. Musées et institutions culturelles relaient l'événement qui se déploie en intérieur et en plein air de Genève aux Grisons et du Valais à Zurich. Lorsque l'horizon se désagrège, les artistes dressent leurs œuvres, parfois jusqu'au cœur même des glaciers.De plus amples informations sont disponibles sur www.artforglaciers.ch.
